A customer who already knew what trenchless could do

Most of our Arvada calls come from homeowners seeing trenchless sewer repair for the first time. This one came from a home builder who had used pipe lining on earlier projects. He wanted the same result again: a finished lateral with no open trench cutting across his lot. His problem was time. His days were spread across several job sites, and he couldn’t stay at this house long enough for us to run a camera. CIPP sewer lining still worked for this Arvada job.

Reading the line from his own footage

He sent us a sewer inspection video he’d had done earlier. We saw a 4-inch cast iron lateral with one badly cracked section. The pipe past the crack was in good enough shape to carry a liner all the way to the city tap. That made it a good candidate for a combined repair: fix the one broken spot, then line everything downstream. We put him on the schedule for the next day.

Fixing the break, then relining the run

With his sign-off, we dug a single small access pit right at the cracked section and repaired the break by hand. That same pit then became our launch point. From there our crew pulled a resin-saturated cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner through the remaining 36 feet of cast iron to the connection at the main. We inflated a bladder inside it to press the liner tight against the old pipe walls, then held the pressure for a few hours while the resin cured. When the bladder came out, a seamless new pipe was left inside the old iron.

Why this combination worked

A spot repair together with trenchless pipe lining is often the most efficient answer when one section has failed badly and the rest of the line is just aging. The builder got a structural, jointless sewer lateral in one visit, with one small hole instead of a trench. That was exactly what he had asked for.
