What our camera found

Before quoting anything, our technician ran a sewer camera inspection to see what the line really looked like. The lateral was roughly 75 feet of failing cast iron. It was too far gone to be worth patching, but its alignment was straight and consistent enough for trenchless pipe bursting. That meant we could replace the entire run in one pull instead of chasing individual breaks.

Same-day trenchless sewer replacement

Our trucks carry HDPE pipe and bursting equipment, so we didn’t have to wait for materials. We started that afternoon.

1. We dug two small pits, one at each end of the run: a launch pit and a receiving pit.
2. We set every shovel of dirt on plywood so the lawn wasn’t buried a second time.
3. We fused a new length of high-density polyethylene pipe and attached it behind a bursting head.
4. We pulled the head through the old cast iron. It split the iron apart and pushed the fragments outward into the surrounding soil, while the new HDPE line followed behind it.

Back in service before dark

By evening the family had a working sewer again. We backfilled both pits and restored the yard. The only signs of digging left were from the earlier crew’s mess.
